My First Outdoor Run, and Oh the scenery

It's Week 3 here of my six week Couch to 5k program and this was the week for me to start running outside. No pussy-footing around on the treadmill anymore.

OUTSIDE, people. With hills, fresh air, and movie stars!

Okay, apparently no movie stars today, but still some movie shooting, which was enough for me to get my ass in gear and motor it through my neighborhood to get some really truly exciting pictures (heh).

But it made for an entertaining 30 minutes. Of course, I have no idea how far I ran, but I'll try to figure that out later. I will say that I felt like dying and then very much alive and kick ass, all at the same time.

Five Killers

Ashton's bashed up gold movie Trans Am. Apologies for the headphone cord in the pic (yes, I'm listening to music, in one ear). I actually think I saw Ashton testing out one of the cars, but I didn't want to ruin my disguise as "dedicated runner" and stop to take his picture.

Big huge hill

It's a completely un-famous hill. Just decided I'd take a picture so you could feel my pain (it's one of many).

Five Killers Set

So important movie people know where to go. I've been thinking of how to vandalize it (like 2nd BIG UNIT).

Five Killers Base Camp

Actor trailers and "base camp" for the movie. I took this while I was running, hence the fish bowl.

I'll try to take more pictures on Wednesday from the other neighborhood.

I used to deface signs for fun & politics. You have to go for this one, it’s just asking for that UNIT to shine. I suggest the easy change of SET to SEX and go with “SEX big units.”
I would not be able to concentrate on anything else if a film crew were in my hood.

You really are dedicated – I totally would have broken stride to stop for Ashton’s picture!

Doesn’t matter how far. It’s that you ran.
And that you ran past Ashton Kutcher.

Way to go running outside. It was a hard adjustment for me to go from treadmill to outside, but I didn’t do try outside until I was almost finished with the program. I just ran in my 2nd 5K race on Sunday and beat my goal of running less than 40 minutes. I was so excited. Keep on running!!!
