On Vacation

It's Memorial Day weekend, and I'm on vacation.  Although driving for 7 hours to sleep in even closer proximity to my children (a hotel) hardly seems like a vacation so far.  Oh well.  At least I planned well – I brought the 30 Day Shred, weights, and workout clothes.  The hotel has a gym, so I have no excuses.

And after a long day of driving and then hanging with the relatives, I Shredded yesterday while the kids were in the bath – Level 1, Day 6, and it felt great!  Well, I didn't actually watch the DVD, but I did it anyway.  What, you haven't memorized Level 1 yet?  Keep doing it and you will.  Yeah, I went to the gym, set my new watch to do the appropriate intervals and I did the whole thing.  It felt awesome, although I missed Jillian pestering me.

To make up for it there was a wall-sized mirror in the hotel gym, and I don't think I've ever seen myself doing Shred.  It was a fascinating show, although I'd prefer to watch Anita shredding instead of me.  It WAS nice to check my form, but the butt kicks, well, let's just say I looked silly and leave it at that.

This morning I ran on the treadmill, and I'm primed to keep working out while we're here. But you know what?  If I don't keep it up over the whole weekend, I'm not going to beat myself up over it.

Jillian will take care of that for me when I get back.

Good for you, Bill! I often wish I had a wall mirror to see my form, but no doubt, butt kicks could ruin that, lol.

You deserve a little break, and I’m not saying that because you’re my competition. Seriously, ENJOY!

What, are you kidding? Any time away from wiping butts and stopping fights is a vacation, even if I’m sweating like a maniac! :)
No worries – I’m only doing this while people are asleep or bathing…
