30 Day Workout Plan Update
We’re at the end of August, and we’ve got a week plus a few days left in our 30 day plans – how’s it going?
I have to be honest, coming up with my plan was THE BEST thing I’ve done in a long time. I’ve been sticking with it, and it really removes a lot of the mental stress each day of deciding what to do. I know it sounds dumb that picking a workout is “stress,” but in its own way it is, and if you’re like me, any bit of stress will derail your workout plans.
So knowing exactly what I’m going to do allows me to turn my brain off and do it. In one of Bob Harper’s new DVDs he says something like “don’t worry about what you have to do later, only worry about what you’re doing right now.” In a way, the plan lets me do that. I don’t have to worry about what’s coming later that day or later in the week for workouts. I don’t have to worry about how today’s workout will affect tomorrow’s. I can simply focus on getting my workout done.
And because I’ve been doing well with that, I’ve also been doing well with my eating. So…in the 2.5 weeks I’ve been doing this I’ve lost somewhere between 3 and 5 pounds (I can’t remember what I was wearing for my start weight). I don’t think I’ll hit my “dream number” on the scale but that’s okay, because I can see progress being made. And I’m going to use this last week and a half to get as close as I can.
How are YOU doing?
