September Challenge: Back to Shred

It’s September, #shredheads, and just in time for back-to-school, we’ve got a bunch of people lining up for what could be the most colossal of ALL challenges ever.  It’s going to be the biggest smackdown in the history of histories!

Okay, maybe it’s not quite that big, but we’ve got some motivated people ready to work out in September…the challenge?  Do 30 Day Shred every day in September (or do 30 Day Shred alternating days with running or walking).

Difficult?  Maybe…but it’s definitely doable.  And who doesn’t want to get back into shape now that the kids are back to school, or in preparation for the holidays ahead, or just because?  So here’s who we’ve got on Team Jillian so far:

So which team am I on?  I play for both teams.  Wait a minute, that came out wrong.  What I mean to say is that I’m sticking with my own plan for a while and am sticking with Jillian, Bob, and running…but I encourage you to pick a team if you don’t have a plan going already.  It’s fun to be part of a crowd, and they’ll help you stick with it.

    One is the loneliest number…

    I think we all know how much I love Jillian, but I’m giving Bob a chance. He seems like a stand up guy. I’m going to compare my results with 30DS results from a couple years ago.

      I’m game for Team Bob…but I’m doing running too, so I’ll be doing his (most likely yoga but I will be brave after the 12th and try the cardio in there at times). If that’s cool, I’m in!

    I dusted off my Jillian Michaels DVD this morning. Today is Day 1. I am committing to 3 times a week, Monday-Wednesday-Friday. On Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday I plan on walking/running (C25K) and/or biking!

      I highly recommend getting 30DS…it’s really cheap at this point. Only $8.49 at amazon – check it here.

    I’m SO in! I’m starting half marathon training next Monday for the Seattle half in November, and I’m loving 30DS on off days for a strength workout! Let’s do this! @katieanne731

    I can’t do the full month as I’m still in postpartum recovery, but I bought the DVDs recently and look forward to giving them a try as soon as I can. I’m walking every day but don’t quite have the energy for the full Jillian experience yet. @StephanieSD

    Bring it on, buddy! (For the record, I never called anyone “buddy” until I started doing JM30SD. After a week or so, I started calling my friend and my students “buddy.” It got a little weird.)

    Sign me up for Team Jillian. After several fits & starts, I finally made it to 30SD Level 3 – and I’m ready to do this. (Bob, it’s all you next time, buddy.)

    I’m team Bob. I will be travelling for two weeks, but all of my hotels have gyms so no excuses to slack off. I love a challenge.

      In the past I’ve actually written down the workouts from the DVDs (haven’t done it with Bob’s yet though) and taken them with me to the hotel gyms. It works really well. Just a thought…and have good travels!

    BUT I do have the shred…and I’m starting a marathon training program on the 20th SOOOO I’ll be team Jillian.

    I’m in :) ! I tried a full 30 days 30DS before but my eating was horrendous so that didn’t help a bit! But I’m doing much better with it! I’ll probably do Bob next month <3

    So which team am I on? I am going with Bob! I think he is the type of trainer I can respect and I like the fact that he really focuses on form and technique. I do not own either of those videos but I am willing to do all the workouts on the Bob Harper page, every other day and then I will run/walk a half marathon a week! Piece of cake!

    I’m so in on this! I have no idea what day I will be starting the 30 DS (I just purchased it from Amazon yesterday evening), but I’m definitely ready for this(I hope!). About five months ago I changed my eating habits, but I’m still hanging onto those last 10 pounds, and it’s driving me bonkers! So for sure I’m team Jillian right now. I love Bob, but I let my friend borrow my Bob dvds! I’m hoping to keep everything updated on my blog once I get going.

    I’m back! I just logged in to Shredheads after doing Level 1 tonight and had no idea about the challenge, but I’m totally Team Jillian! I’ve got major results to see as I just had my beautiful baby girl (which is why I had to quit shredding last October during my second round of it!)…
