October SHRED #17: Remember the Children

What a cheesy title, right?  LOL  But as I sit here looking at the Costco-sized pile of candy I bought, one thought keeps going through my head.

ZOMG that would taste good.

But then…[cue dramatic music]…I remember the children.  Those poor children, forced to dress up on Halloween so they can go get some nourishment from the neighbors.  If I ate all the candy, what would they do for treats?  And more importantly, what would they do for tricks?

Seriously, if you’re tempted to get in that bag of candy, remember who you bought it for.  If you can control yourself, great.  But if you’re like me, try to focus on the fact that it’s for the kids.  And when your kids bring home candy, remember that it’s THEIRS.  Is this easy?  Lord no!

But right now it’s all that’s standing between me and 300 chocolates.

I have remembered the children! In spite of my most recent blog post, I have resisted the temptation….it’s crazy! But I am finally seeing the results that I had made as a goal for myself back when we all started this crazy shredding.
