What I’m Up To
It’s interesting, this whole working out thing. You’d think that after 1-1/2 years of doing it, I’d be in a great routine, but it still doesn’t take much to throw me off track. I was doing great with my latest workout plan, mixing running in with strength and cardio DVDs.
Then I got sick for a few days.
Yeah, ugh. You know it’s bad when I have to take a couple of days completely off…no 30 Day Shred, no nothing. I got better (mostly) and started to get back into the routine, and then my mom came to visit for a few days.
Yeah.
It was a nice visit, and I kept working out, but time restraints caused me to need to work out before everyone woke up. That meant shifting to mostly running – 5 out of 6 days, in fact. Combine that with all the strength time lost while I was sick, and yikes.
So now I’m vowing to get back to my plan. Do more strength. Do more abs. Keep eating right. It sounds easy, but the lure of the couch is still there. Stupid couch. Wait, no, I didn’t mean that! Don’t cry, couch! I swear, I love you! Who else holds me like you do when I watch TV?
Ahem.
Why am I telling you this? Because putting it in writing makes it real. This way I HAVE to do it, right? RIGHT?
How are you all doing this month? Is the eating under control? Are we all still working out? I’ll be back tomorrow with another SHRED.

I did Day 1 of the Shred DVD today ^_^
So I’m just getting started.
stuff happens which is why i try not to beat myself up too hard if i get off my routine a little. i usually use that as an opportunity to shake up and change the routine a little because i do get bored.
glad you are feeling better, Bill.
Ah, no, my routine has gone to crap. I’m running, but not well. I’m eating horribly. I feel yuck. Ugh.
