An Eating Restart
It’s been a while, and perhaps you’ve been wondering where I’ve been lately. The answer is simple.
Eating.
Yeah, I know I sound like a broken record. I’ve done the reboot thing before, but lately I just can’t believe how terrible my eating has been and I’m so mad for letting myself get back to this point. It’s been bad since the middle of my marathon training, and it just hasn’t gotten better. This weekend I feel like I hit rock bottom – it was a full-blown eating frenzy – and I have to do something about it.
For the past forever I’ve had pretty much the same breakfast and lunch every day. Obviously that isn’t working for me, so beginning today I’m changing everything around. I’m actually going back to some of my old time meals, pretend that this is my first time losing weight. Oatmeal for breakfast, something light for lunch, more fruit during the day. All the healthy stuff that I should be doing, but that I wasn’t.
And hopefully by restarting I can find that motivation I seem to have lost.

You sound so discouraged!
You can get back on track, and you can stick to it – you’ve done it before! You are the inspiration to me when I get off track and discouraged, so maybe you could be the inspiration to yourself?
You’ve done so much and have been so dedicated it is bound to slip up once in a while, but you’ll get it back on track!

Aw, thanks! I’m trying to inspire myself. I sort of had the light switch go on last night, so hopefully if I can make it through a few days of this it’ll stick. I think I’ll have to purge the kitchen of garbage food, too. My kids aren’t going to be happy. LOL
Eat right challenge? I am right there with you on needing a reset. I am so annoyed b/c I know what to do, I just don’t do it.

Bill, I feel for you as I am right there with you. Just had an “ah ha” moment myself and told myself, “girl you need to get your S&%^! together!” (and I never swear, so you know this is serious!
Unfortunately not prepared with the foods I need today and have 3 kiddos under 3 in the house today (no shopping!), but hope to get out tonight and stock up on the things that have worked for me before.
I find I get a bit too comfortable in eating and then it snowballs out of control. Next thing you know the clerks at Speedway know me and my favorite donut choice all too well! ack!

I’m struggling with this, too. Maybe it is this time of year? The spring/summer foods? I have no idea. Thanks so much for the reminder to restart, and I like your plan of changing up everything. I think I will try that, too.
