Not a lot to say here. 18 miles on the bike, then Shred Level 1. Again, it felt surprisingly good, probably because I ate right yesterday. ”What a difference the eating makes,” he exclaims just like he does every time he restarts eating right. Today’s eating was mostly good, with a little homemade ice cream for dessert at dinner (here’s where you catch me – I’m running 2 days ahead, so this workout was actually on July 4th).
One thing I noticed about Shred that in the zillions of times I’ve never caught…Jillian says something about being “diligent with this.” I would have bet that she was saying “stay legit with this.” How could I have misheard that so many times? Weird.

I finally did it! Yesterday I popped the DVD into the player and was immediately parroting everything Jillian said, so THAT part I remember, at least. It was certainly tough, and I used pause a lot when my heart rate got a bit too high for my comfort level or when I got a little faint, but I got through the whole thing. I couldn’t do both sets of anterior raises with weights, so I just did weightless raises for the second set, which was still hard enough. I’m feeling pretty good today, comfortably stiff, and I’m still doing well at tracking my food. Here’s hoping my pants fit comfortably again soon!
