An early day of Shred today – I started just before 6am and while that used to be my normal time, boy is it tough to get back into that habit!
The good news is that I made it, and my body is beginning to adapt to the pushups. A little bit, at least. Oh, I know I haven’t gotten that much stronger (yet), but my muscles are sort of remembering how to do pushups. My form is still wobbly, and my arms still feel like they’re going to fall off after the first set, but I can tell it’s a tiny bit better.
And that tiny bit of improvement is so important, because it’s what makes me keep going.
How are you? Are you at least getting used to the routine? Noticing any changes yet?


Heh. As I tweeted last night, I was all set to Shred. Weights out, mat ready, sports bra on…and I couldn’t find my DVD! I know my husband has it saved to the computer, so I’ll get him to just burn a copy for me, but I was kind of bummed. I know I could have done a different DVD, but since I’m just getting back post-serious illness, I wanted something I was SUPER comfortable with and something where I knew it inside and out, how to modify, where to pause, etc.
On the plus side, I’m doing yoga and pilates regularly, I weighed myself this morning, and I started tracking again.
Hey, as long as you’re doing SOMETHING I say that counts. But get that DVD burned! LOL
Hello! Today is my day 3, I actually just came across this blog looking for motivation and saw that we started this journey about the same time so… YAY for Google!
Today was kinda hard, I thought yesterday was a breeze compared to day 1 but I also had a multivitamin 45 minutes before my workout yesterday which I think helped.
I have been slowly gaining weight in college and after I graduated a year ago, I have picked up 30 pounds which is a little intimidating because in college I was 30 pounds away from my goal weight and couldn’t seem to reach it and now Im 30 pounds above that.
So I’m looking for results and muscle definition of dancers. And I’m going to also get in as much gym time as I can on the elliptical. I am eating mostly raw food ( plain oatmeal with blueberries, black coffee, strawberries, almonds, apples, bananas) but then, its the holiday so maybe a piece of bbq or two.
So yay day 3! Bring it Day 4!
Just finished day 3 I feel its getting a little easier, but I’m stiLl sore from day one and two, I’m still sweating buckets after the first circuit, its a great workout, I am also going to hit my elliptical for 13 minutes tonight to make my workout a complete 40 minutes, since starting the 30 day shred I will only do my elliptical 4 days a week as before the 30 day shred I was doing it 7 days a week. How is everyone feeling after day 3?
