Okay, so the title makes it sound more badass than it is…it wasn’t 56.4 miles at once. I rode 23.7 miles on Day 7, 32.7 miles on Day 8, but I did Shred both days too. No off days from Shred this time, right?
Anyway, it sure does feel good to be following a plan again. I know I’ve written that here before. It seems like I’ve written everything before, but after falling off the wagon for a while it’s all like new again at the same time. My eating is overall pretty good. The cravings are still there, but that switch has been flipped and I’m pretty much able to keep myself from starting to eat the junky foods.
And I’m definitely starting to see results from Shred. It’s been a LOOOOOONG time since I’ve done a single workout every day – I’d flit between cycling (or running way back when), various Jillian or Bob DVDs, a little of this, a little of that. That’s great for overall fitness, but doing Shred every day means I’m actually working on the same muscles so I’m seeing results! Well, not seeing, but feeling. Things are getting easier and I’m feeling ready to move up to Level 2. I’ll stick with this until the 10 days are up just because, but I LOVE FEELING STRONGER!
Is anyone else feeling it? Better? Sore? Hello, is this thing on? :)

I’m not doing the Shred daily, but I’ve tried to do some sort of physical activity every single day. I started tracking on Tuesday and I’ve slid right back into it. I went to Pilates, yoga, and did the Shred. I walked on the other days, even if it was only a 2km walk one night. I went skating yesterday…combined, it’s probably more exercise than I’ve had in the eight months since I got sick! I was spectacularly tired last night, but in a good way.
Tonight is a night off as I have dinner plans with the hockey girls (for which I’ve pre-planned my meal
) and then tomorrow I’m intending to hit the Shred again. I feel human again, like I’m finally participating in my life after a long hibernation. I didn’t realize how much I’d missed that.
Have I mentioned how proud of you I am? Considering what all has happened, you are a super star!
I totally agree with you – it’s SO great to be following a plan, and doing it along with others as well! I feel like one more day on Level 1 is all that I need … I’m MORE than ready for Level 2!
The reverse crunches are still one of the hardest ab moves for me. Another tough one for me is the static lunges w/ bicep curls (I have issues getting all the way through those sets). Other than that, I’m doing much better. I’ve missed a few days in Level 1, but I’ve done it so many times that I don’t feel like it’s set me back very much.
I know I shouldn’t be thinking too far ahead yet, but I’m thinking Ripped In 30 next month? Or maybe Shred It With Weights for a month? Who knows.
I can’t even think that far ahead. LOL I may go back through this, or maybe I’ll do one of her other ones. I remember liking Shred a lot better than the 2 you mentioned, but maybe if I give one of them a real shot for a month I’ll change my mind…
