Meet Your Shredheads

Kristen Chase

Kristen has been fairly lean and fit her entire life, but was left a good 25lbs overweight (and pretty depressed) after having her third child in October 2008.

With a family wedding looming in May 2009, she decided she needed to drop the pounds but as a writer, columnist, blogger, and work-at-home mom of three kids, she couldn’t spend long hours at the gym every day.

So she decided to do the 30 Day Shred for the entire month of March.

She lost 12lbs and dropped a complete size doing only 20 minutes of exercise a day and moderately adjusting her diet.

She continued working out daily with Bob Harper’s Weight Loss Yoga and Cardio Max, as well as a modified program from Exercisetv.tv.

She lost another 8lbs and five inches.

She’s run four 5K races (33:34, 30:ish, 28:37, and 26:50), two 10K races (1:12 and 56:30), and two half-marathons (2:19 and 2:14).  And she’s lost over 30lbs since March 2009.

Kristen is currently mixing in kickboxing and spinning classes, as well as the 30 Day Shred, in with her running.  Aside from just trying to eat healthy, she drinks only water and tea and doesn’t eat after 8pm.

In all, she has lost almost 50lbs, weighing in at 140lbs and now wears a size 6.

Bill Gookin

Bill’s weight problems all began when he got pregnant.

OK, that’s a bit of a stretch, even for The Internets.  Bill is a stay-at-home dad who neither enjoys nor has time for the gym.  Add to that a love of eating, and, well, he’s had to lose weight a few times.

You can read all the sordid details, but basically Bill grew up fat.  He lost 90 pounds in grad school, gained it (plus 25) back, and then lost 115 pounds through Weight Watchers when he finally realized he was over 300 pounds.

Bill near his heaviest...mmm, lollypops!

In 2006, while he and his wife were expecting their second child, they moved and he stopped paying attention to myself, gaining 20 pounds in the process (by September 2008).  A high-stress couple of weeks resulted in his gaining another 25 pounds in October alone, so Bill rejoined WW in November.  By March he’d lost 35 pounds, but realized that diet alone wasn’t going to work this time – fortunately the Shredheads came along!

Doing Shred in March helped Bill lose another 5 pounds, and in April he continued doing Jillian’s videos (30 Day Shred, No More Trouble Zones, and Banish Fat Boost Metabolism).  By the end of April Bill was another 7 pounds down, and was at his goal weight, having lost 48 pounds.

In May, Kristen goaded Bill into running a 5K, and he enjoyed it so much that he’s now run many 5 and 10Ks (and various distances in between), a half marathon (2:04), and a full marathon (4:53:26).

You have me convinced, your results are awesome! Starting today with Day 1 and the OnDemand workout. I’m going to get the DVD set. I have 66 lbs to lose…this looks like a great way to start…and as for Jillian’s ability to get results? No doubt if I commit.

Who could ever dare to test the mythical Christian Louboutin shoes , whose shoes women around the world admire and wish. But given to the high prices and heavy tags of those, few of these Christian Louboutin Pumps women essentially manage to get those beautiful Christian Louboutin Boots under their feet. Yes, in this time of economic downturn, women are finding Christian Louboutin Sandals intensely tricky to meet their fashion wishes. However , as one says when there’s a will there’s a way.

This FASTLANE then differs from the first three in the FASTLANE DVD series because Dr. Yang actually demonstrates movements and breathing for you to practice. In the previous three volumes, all the FASTLANE DVD COLLECTION lessons were lecture only.

Today, you can see Ed Hardy clothing stores here and there especially all over the world. The central ED Hardy Shoes cap is a hardy shirt strategy entirely portrayed on fabric. Some of the rhinestone hardy shirts use large rhinestones in explicit seats to take the propose to shimmer life.

Some time ago, I needed to buy a good house for my business but I didn’t have enough money and couldn’t purchase anything. Thank heaven my fellow proposed to try to take the loan from trustworthy creditors. Hence, I did so and used to be satisfied with my financial loan.

    What an inspiration!
I just started level 2 and it was ROUGH. Reading your blog is very motivating. I’m on the same page. During my second pregnancy I started really bad eating habits. I NEVER ate fast food and now Im trying so hard to re-learn my good habits from the past. That baby had me craving cakes and anything greasy haha.

OMG!!! I have been looking for real life stories and I found them. I CANNOT believe the difference in such a small amount of time. 3 month Kristen!!! Sorry Bill you too look awesome. I don’t know what I would do if in three months I looked like that, I would shed that “fat girl” for sure. You guys are an inspiration and I have bookmarked this site.
    Thanks,
    Lynda
PS – I am thinking I need a before and after picture, I am already 2 weeks in but I don’t think that’s too late, if I could like that!!
